Dog Grooming
|
Booking regular grooming appointments for your dog doesn't just keep him looking good, it will also keep him healthy and happy. It takes a lot of care and patience to groom a dog, especially a fluffy one, a puppy, or one that is matted. Therefore having your dog professionally groomed will save you time and energy.
How much you need to groom your dog, and how often, will depend on their breed and coat type. For young puppies and dogs who have never been groomed, more frequent grooming or brushing at home should be done to get the dog used to being handled and to avoid grooming issues into adulthood. Many puppy parents make the mistake of waiting until their pups are six months old before taking them for their first groom. But it is better to introduce the puppy no more than 16 weeks old, as younger pups are easier to train. |
